From the official SCA write-up:
Steve Kane (Brighton Excelsior) followed up his 2nd place in Saturday's Championship 10 with a 1st place on Sunday in the Sussex Championship 25 on another bright and sunny morning which was not quite as cold as Saturday but not that far off either. Steve Kane's fine performance won him the Boniface Cup as Sussex 25 mile Champion. The Saturday winner Sean Scott (In-Gear Quickvit Trainsharp) had to settle for 3rd place in the 25.
Brighton Excelsior – Steve Kane, Mark Emsley and Brian Molloy (aka Skinhatboy) - took the team prize on both days and the Lee Memorial Shield for the 25, beating Lewes Wanderers by just under a minute.

Club Run. Thanks for your patience waiting for me at Race HQ as I gulped tea and cake after marshalling. I swear that Amy Smith spent the whole wait doing a single track stand. Respect!
Tues 6 May. Evening Time Trial 6.30 pm. This week is a ‘10’.
Weds 7 May. Track Racing at Preston Park.
Thurs 8 May. Evening Rides. Red Lion 6.30 pm.
Sat 10 May. Downslink Challenge. A great morning out with super cakes to finish!
BECC overnight London – Brighton. People are up for this. Looks like Friday 25 July is the favoured date.
Sat 19 July, Sun 20 July. BECC Open ‘10’ and ‘25’. These have to be entered in advance, as the starting order is arranged to avoid opportunities for drafting as far as possible, and grouping women, riders and also school/junior riders. At the Hall there’s changing facilities/food and drink/prizes and awards . It’s a much improved event compared to the ‘meet in the car park’ evening club events.
Go to https://evententry.ctt.org.uk/ and register if not already on the system. Online entry will close 5.00 pm on Tues 8 July. Alternatively, paper entry to the organiser. Forms available at Tuesday evening events.
